Our Head Partner of the TMT & Cybersecurity Practice, Theodossis Tompras, has a market wide unprecedented experience of more than 12 years of in-house roles in TMT companies and has participated in numerus regulatory, administrative & competition procedures at national & EU level, public consultations, hearings & litigations, spectrum auctions, as well as landmark corporate finance transactions and almost all the sector’s M&As that have shaped the Greek telecommunication market as we know it today. Furthermore, we have worked for the creation of EEKT (Greek MNOs Association), the Tilegnous S.A. (the Greek MNOs credit bureau), the RAN Sharing Greek JV and the TowerCo sharing initiative. Our lawyers have also filed the first cross border regulatory complaint at European level, activated for the first time the secondary spectrum market by completing the very first spectrum license sale in Greece (operator2operator) and have filled the first dispute resolution complaint within the frame of Directive 2014/61 that involved a non-licensed organization.

CPA Law Head Partner, Theodossis Tompras has handled hundreds of cybersecurity projects, cases & litigations, in relation to cyber-attacks to entities or entire industries, data breaches, criminal investigations and national security matters and has worked closely with Regulatory Authorities, like the Hellenic Authority for Communication Security & Privacy, the Greek DPA, the Central Bank of Greece, State Authorities (National CERT) and the National Cybersecurity Authority.

KPMG cybersecurity team has handled the identification and response of numerous cyber related incidents, assisting organizations to identify the root causes, contain the incident, recover systems and operations, as well as bring forward lessons learned.

Media

We have handled a broad range of content licensing and branding agreements with domestic and international content providers & studios and negotiated the first B2B premium sport content agreement in Greece. On the regulatory side we ’ve pioneered the introduction of IPTV regime in Greece and we have represented market players before the National Council for Radio and Television (NCRTV-ΕΣΡ). We have also advised PayTV operators for the creation of the first shared service satellite reception park in Greece, while we have conducted numerus negotiation rounds with Collective Societies regarding intellectual property rights.
